Dr. Cober completed training in conventional Western medicine in the field of general surgery. He has always had an interest in rural and global medicine and completed a rural track in his surgery residency. He has over a decade of experience in the hospital setting and has cared for children and adults, with disease severity ranging from mild illness to life-threatening illness.
His approach to general medicine is similar to traditional family medicine where he does follow the conventional medical standard of care, but places a very high value on spending time with patients to truly understand their lives and help them achieve their best health.
He believes in "medical minimalism." In other words, he believes for most people, following a traditionally healthy lifestyle (spending time outdoors, being physical, eating whole unprocessed food, and being a part of community) is generally the best plan to avoid being on multiple medicines as is common today in America.
He believes that we are all made in God's image and that it is a high calling to help people achieve wellness and take good care of their bodies.
We have multiple locations and can also offer home visits.
